Ant-man New 52

Ant-man's new costume, with the old costumes in the backround.

This is for Ant-man in Marvel - The New 52.

History[]

After the events of Ironpoint, Ant-man's history has remained intact. Grief-stricken over the death of Janet, he tries to rid himself of the Ant-man attire, although the Pym Particles fuse themselves to him. Hank obtains the ability to store his Ant-man costume beneath his skin and manifest whenever he needs it.

At first, Hank tries to deal with his depression by immersing himself in his work with his friend Emma Froste and her father, but when an alien called The Brood threatens New York City with a plague, Ant-man is forced to return to action,

During their first combat, Brood absorb some of Ant-man's Pym Patricles, causing him to grow to giant size. However, Brood cannot control the Pym Particles properly, forcing him to retreat. To defeat him, Ant-man uncovers Brood's spaceship, which reveals Brood's origins as a convicted prisoner forced into suspended animation for spreading a plague that destroyed entire civilizations. Ant-man also discovers that Terrance, one of Professor Froste's colleagus, liberated Brood so that he could deliver him to Dr. Hogarth Kane, a military scientist who sought Brood's body to examinate it and harness his powers for military purposes.

After interrogating Terrance, Ant-man takes him to the Non-Lethal Alternative Studios, where Kane works and where Brood is being held. There, Ant-man fights Askana, Kane's assistant, while Kane escapes. Unfortunately, Terrance had been infected with Brood's plague and uses his body to heal Brood, who challenges Ant-man to another fight.

Ant-man deduces Brood's weakness to cold and uses a tube of liquid nitrogen to freeze him once again. With the help of Waker, a mysterious alien whose race had been destroyed by Brood, Ant-man also defeats Kane, leaving him to die on his helicopter.
